I've recently found a new love, bentgrass!

Yeah, I know, pretty weird, but I love to play golf and I can always tell when I am on a great golf course, because the grass is amazing. This grass is usually bentgrass, whether it's the tee box, the fairway, or the putting green.

Bentgrass is a very special type of grass, and one of the most expensive types of seeds to produce, clean and breed. Bentgrass seed, in and of itself is amazing just to look at. It's very small and you almost need a microscope to see the differences between the bentgrass, regular grass, and even between different types of bentgrass.

One of the most popular kinds of bentgrass is Penncross bentgrass. Some of my favorite golf courses in the world use Penncross. I just found out about another one called Tyee bentgrass, and I guess it's taking the bentgrass world by storm.

Weed and Grass Killer

Just finished another site about Roundup and killing weeds. This one is called Weed and Grass Killer. The other weed killing sites have been very well received by the readers, I hope this one will be as well.

Magic and my Six year old.

I have a six year old that just loves seeing magic tricks. I made the mistake once of saying "I can do that" to a trick we were watching on tv. It happened to be one of those floating dollar bill tricks. Well, I bought the trick, very cool by the way, got it at Magic Fire Tricks for about $11 delivered. It came with some other levitation tricks with cards, etc., that were pretty cool too.

Problem is that ever since I showed it to her (and it WOWED her), she wants to see it again, all the time, which in principal isn't a problem, but unfortunately, it takes several minutes to get this thing set up.

Oh well.

Yankee Bird Feeders

One of the truckloads we got in the other day had one of the coolest bird feeders on it that I've ever seen. It was made by a company called Droll Yankee, and it was actually quite large. I asked my wife if she wanted it, but she explained that we don't get those kind of birds around our house.

It had a cool feature on it where if a squirrel tried to get at the bird food, its weight would activate a flinging device and send the squirrel flying off the feeder.
